Q: Toyota Camry LE VS Honda Civic/ Accord?
My husband got into an car accident,and our VW Passat was totaled, we are not ready to put in that much money in the same car again.
So now we are looking at other options - We went dealers and test drove Toyota Camry, Honda Civic/Accord. Based on that we both are more driven towards camry, but is it a good one, or is there anything else better around the same price range!
Or is it just advisable to buy a old 2000 model Nissan Altima with 53k miles for $ 6500....please help me out ppl like you always have..

A: Honda's are better on gas, but Camry's are better on quality. My mom hardly has problems with hers. Hondas don't last long.

A: You can't really compare them, they are a lot different in sizes and features. A Civic will be a lot cheaper. Have you looked at the Nissan Altimas? They are bigger than a Civic but better looking than a Camry and IMO just as good of a car.

A: There is no difference in reliability between the Camry and the Corolla.

The Camry is a midsized car and is larger, roomier, and tends to have more options.

The Corolla is smaller and is considered a Compact. It will get a little better Gas Mileage because it's smaller. But will have less options.

The Civic and the Corolla are both Compacts and compete for the same market.

A: I would not buy a 10 year old Audi or VW turbo. If that compressor gave out the cost of repair would be more than you paid for the car.

That's not a risk I'd be willing to take.

The 2 door Accord is very nice and the 2007 Camry is very aggressive looking. Winner - Tie

Who wants to pay $40,000+ for a minivan(Sienna). The Odyssey actually looks pretty cool for a minivan. Winner - Odyssey

Civic is the best without a doubt. The new civic SI has 197hp and a six speed tranny. Oh yeah i forgot "Car of the Year (2006)" From Motor Trend Magazine Winner - Civic

4. Toyota Sequoia vs. Honda Pilot
These arent really in the same class. The Sequoia is huge. The Pilot is Midsized. With gas prices over $3.00 a gallon, Winner - Pilot

5. Toyota Rav4 vs. Honda CR-V
These are a matter of personal taste. I really dont like either of them very much. They are just the basic very small suv-ish thing. Winner - Tie

6. Toyota Tundra vs. Honda Ridgeline
The Ridgeline won MotorTrends "Truck of the Year" this year. It says a lot about a company when the first time they make a new type of product (a truck in hondas case) it makes it better than everything else out there. It beat trucks like Dodge Dakota, Ford Ranger, Nissan Frontier, Chevy Colorado and a few others. Its kinda sad cause these companies have been making trucks for decades.

I prefer Hondas over Toyotas. I know alot about both of the companies and Honda is my favorite car maker overall. For a company thats probably about a third the size of its competitor (Toyota). Honda holds its own. Not only do they keep up with toyota but honda actually has quite a few competitors that have copied more that one of their innovations. For instance VTEC means Variable valve Timing with lift Electronic Control. This is a design that varies the valve timing and not only creates horse power but increases fuel effeciency. If you notice on almost all cars now they have some sort of variable valve timing. Honda invented it. These other companies just dont call it VTEC, they call it CVVT amongst other names. Honda also was the first company to produce an engine that made more than 100hp per liter. That engine is in the Honda S2000.

i really dont understand why would anyone buy a car from Toyota instead of one made by Chevy. The new Malibu is much better than Camry and Accord. And the Cobalt is better than the Civic or Corolla. The Aveo is better than Fit and Yaris. Then tell me why are you still not buying from GM?

A: gm may make cars tha look nice but when it comes down to it, theyre reliability and resale value sucks, a honda or toyota have 10 times better resale values and would run longer in my opinion.
