A: The Charger should destory the ‘79. You’re talking about 175hp in the top of the line Z28. The Charger will also be worth significantly more.

A: 1969 Charger, hands down
why? Because I am a Mopar guy.
But also because I have seen enough 67-9 Camaros and 65-69 Mustangs to last me three lifetimes. They are undeniably icons of the muscle car era, but damn. I see one of each every day. Know how often I see a clean Charger? Well, how often do YOU see one? The Charger will always be the more attention-grabbing car, just because you dont see them as often.
Plus, a 69 Charger, 440 Magum, 4 speed is just a f*kin monster

A: What constitutes “better”? For one thing, the Camaro is small. The Charger is mid-sized. It all depends on your needs. The Camaro has better build quality and parts are easier to find, but the Charger is so damn sexy.

My friend says his dodge charger could beat my chevy camaro in a race. And I think I would win. Both cars are 2010 brand new. And I just wanna know who’s gonna win if we do?
His is ( what he says) 6.1liter v8 600 horsepower and mine is 6.2 liter V8 426 horsepower
A: What engine and performance package is on both cars? That’s one thing you need to know.
But for me, I love the 2010 Camaro and I’m not a Mopar person.

so for all those Camaro fans out there ( like me) ..i want to know what you think of it first and.. do you think it will be better than a Mustang or a charger ?
A: For this comparison, I’m going to assume that the new Camaro comes with the new 6.2L LS3 engine that is in the new ‘08 Vettes.
That said, I think it will be better than the Mustang and the Charger, hands down. The Camaro will be faster than the Mustang (by a lot – 425 hp vs. about 325-ish?) and will weigh less than the heavy Chargers. That alone will make it a better performing vehicle. Of course, a bad driver vs. a good driver makes a world of difference. All in all, I don’t think Chevy would release this thing if it were inferior to everything on the market today.
Again, pure speculation on my part, since no official word has come from Chevy on the drivetrain and final build specs. When the car comes out for testing, I expect it to be superior though. I’d be shocked if it weren’t.
Q: What happened to the Dodge Charger?
Is it me or has the Dodge Charger been down-graded to a 4 door sedan? The old Chargers from the 70’s looked bad-@ss, but the modern ones don’t even look like muscle cars anymore. I like the new front design and how it has those angry-looking eyes and all but the body structure of the new Charger looks too much like a sedan, it doesn’t have that slim muscle-body look like the new Challenger.
Do you think that the Challenger has now taken over the Charger’s reputation as Dodge’s official muscle car? because now when I hear about competing cars all I hear about is the Mustang vs Camaro vs Challenger. The Charger just doesn’t seem as popular as it used to be back in the 70s does it?
Yes I saw the concept pictures on google images about the new Dodge Charger that is possibly coming out in 2011 (possibly that is), but yeah I would really love to see Dodge make a more sportier version of the Charger. Hopefully they have learned their lesson 
A: I’ve wondered this myself. Introducing a coupe would be cool, but then you’d to choose between the Challenger. I’d have to say I’d take the Challenger. Now, I did see a Charger concept (Google it if you haven’t seen it) that I absolutely loved. It looks like the Challenger, but with a rear that resembles the 70’s model, and the grill is the width of the car with the headlights hidden away, just like the good old days. But this was a 2 door, and almost guaranteed not to be put into production. -sigh- Guess I can dream. I personally think they could have named it the SpeedMaster or something, made no reference to the old Charger at all and it wouldn’t have effected the popularity. On the plus side, if you’re a cop, what would you prefer to have as a car, a Crown Vic or a Charger?

Hello all,
I am debating wither or not I should trade my current car (04 Hyundai Tiburon GT) for another car. If I should decide to do so, it won’t be for a few months. I’m looking for a car that comes stock with a nice balance of speed and power, which all 3 below cars seem to have.
The Models are as follows:
00-02 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM Coupe—–305Hp, 335 ft lb Tq V8
00-02 Chevrolet Camero Z-28 Coupe—310Hp, 335 ft lb Tq V8
00-03 Ford Mustang GT Coupe——-260Hp, 302 ft lb Tq V8
One thing to keep in mind, the mustang has a mass amount of after market upgrades, many parts, and the lightest of the other two, needing less pull to get going. Not immediatly, I plan on adding a turbo/super which should make a mustang hit 375ish Hp, and idk on the others. All cars are V8’s, I don’t care much about gas mileage, might aswell get my kicks before everything hits hybrids. Also, if I could get ahold of a Mustang Cobra/Shelby I would just get it, but there a lil more pricey.
Normally, I would be wanting some imported V6 tuned up, but costs are a little more than I like. Example, my top 3 wanted cars are 1. Toyota Supra (96 TT), 2. Mitsubishi 3000Gt/Dodge Stealth (same thing 96 TT), 3. Nissan 300zx (96 Turbo). Yea, something about 96 went right. Anyway, the gt and 300zx run around 8k each, then its going to be about 15k to upgrade them to a nice running ability, supra’s run around 15k then another 15k to get them show room status.
Mustang, 5-12k, plus 1k for a super charger, maybe new suspension for another grand or two.
The “other” in the title is up to whom ever. Please first vote for which of the 3, then if you have a suggestion you think would be better or same. Please keep all suggestions around 10k or less, as my trade in is only worth around $8200.
Add to this, do these have many maulfuctions, and gas isn’t all that bad, $3 per gallon, with my tiburon getting about 20mpg I fill up once every 2 weeks (really just use for college). And a fill up 14.5 gallons costs about 25 dollars.
Another detail, I checked my listed cars, they get 18 mpg city 25 highway. My current V6 tiburon get 19-20 city, 28ish highway. It wouldn’t make too much difference, probably save gas since I live in WV (moutain state) and have to floor it in my tib to make it up a hill. *tib 0-60 in 8.9 seconds, quarter mile in 18-19 seconds*
A: if i was you i would go for the camaro z28, because its simply a better performance car then the mustang, the trans am is the same as the camaro, even though the mustang is easier to modifiy, here are some numbers for these cars.
2000-2002 camaro z28 0-60 in 5.1 secs
2000-2002 trans am 0-60 in 5.1 secs
2000-2003 mustang gt 0-60 in 5.6 secs
so dude if i was you i would go for the camaro z28, its just me, if your looking for style get the mustang, if your looking for performance, get the camaro, think about it dude, you will get looks from alot of people if you drive a camaro, cause i drive one, and everybody has a mustang, get something thats rare now, good luck in buying your car dude.

A: I own a shop, and have seen this debate for a long time now. It seems to me, the answer would be the Camaro hands down. It only takes driving both to make up ones mind. The “69″ Camaro was the most popular vehicle made out of all the muscle cars that ever came out. A lot of girls do tend to like the Mustangs though. Since I’m a guy I could be biased, but more people prefer the Camaro. Go to any of the restoration parts supplies such as www.yearone.com and you just don’t see many parts for the Mustangs, but you can build a complete 69 Camaro from aftermarket parts! With this in view, they must have a huge demand for these parts, or else they wouldn’t be pumping them out. NO ONE carries enough parts to build a complete 67 Mustang from aftermarket parts. I do a lot of restoration work, and we do over twice as many Camaros as Mustangs, so there is no debate on this one. The numbers are really probably 4 times more, but I’ll give the benefit of the doubt. The numbers don’t lie. Any girl who ever drove a big block Camaro, or the 302 Z-28 would never look at another Mustang in that era. I don’t base my answer on speculation, just facts. Check out these suppliers too;

A: As another Chevy man who made the mistake of buying a Mustang. Don’t I did not get it half the abuse that I give my other GM cars and it broke big time. Fords are junk and I will never get another.I owned two Dodges,Broke both of them too. Except for it’s looks the newer GTO has it over the Mustang and Charger,The new Mopars are some of the ugliest cars I have ever seen. The LS1 and it’s cousins take a lot of abuse,but I still prefer the older cars.
Q: Imports vs Domestics again… why all the misconception about it?
In case most of yall have been living under a rock for the last decade or two ever since the 90’s america has stepped thier game up while imports are still riding the hype from years ago and if no of yall remember imports used to suck and all that imports are better around the corner stuff is B.S. when the last time you raced a honda. Now i will admit that imports do make some nice cars but most of thier performance and gas mileage stems from a Turbo not a natural engine. Now let america throws turbos on everything they woundlt be able to americas exhuast and some well know examples are
Nissan GTR vs Corvette Z06 or Zr1…The corvette spanks that awd car all day in a straight line or a corner
Honda Civic SI vs Mustang GT…The mustang rapes that honda everytime.

A: Each vehicle you mentioned has room for improvements. (Chrysler 3000, I am hoping you mean the 300C) Is very similar to the Dodge Charger in powertrain, so improvements will be similar. Of the ones listed, if memory serves, the GTO will actually have some of the better numbers in performance but has not had quite as much in the aftermarket development area. All have good engine performance, far more than is actually needed for daily driving. As far as taking a lot of beatings… well, you beat it, you take the chance on breaking it… good luck.
