Would a 2008 Callaway corvette or the 2008 Shelby mustang win in a race? well I will help you out the callaway corvette will have a 650 horsepower engine, 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, and a top speed of over 210 mph. 6.2 liter LS3 V8. The shelby mustang will have a 5.4 liter v8 producing 540 horsepower, with a top speed of 155 mph. Proving once again Chevy kills ford in the speed department, oh and the new camaro goes 180+ and thats not even the ss version either. Ford just cant beat chevy. New camaro and corvette, and all ford has is a crappy built mustang, the care has a 500 horse engine and aint even close to the speed of the Camaro’s 400 horse engine. SO WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK???
A: Corvette is on its own leage, you have to compare that one with the Viper and such. A Mustang is 2+2 sports car, more like the Camaro, Firebird and Challenger / Barracuda and the AMC AMX. Those are the class that you need to compare with. Right now the Mustang has not challengers and is alone on its own market right now.
When the new Challenger and Camaro comes out, now we are going to have a good comparison. And of course, we are going to have an occasional Ricer telling us that their car with a build in Nintendo out perfom these cars.
Q: Chevy Camaro VS Chevy Corvette?
Which one is better in relationship with their performance, how comfortable they are, etc. I don’t know which one I like body wise because they are both so cool.

A: For me it depends on where you live and what you’re buying it for.
The Corvette is the ultimate every-day sportscar for two. You have a massive trunk that will easily fit several golf bags (or in my case, a hockey bag) and has a base 6.2L LS3 V-8 with @43o-bhp. You can option your Corvette with technology and luxury items like premium BOSE sound, HUD, custom leather, heated seats, magnetic ride selection and much more. And the Corvette Coupe is actually a Targa, so you can take the roof off. B you can’t drive a Corvette in the snow, and it only has two seats.
The Camaro is more of a pony car, it has a sportscar engine in a larger, more practical frame. The Camaro will seat 4 somewhat comfortably, and you can also get similar luxury options as to the Corvette, but not all of the cool technology bits. The Camaro isn’t as fast as the Corvette anywhere, and actually has a smaller trunk (11.6cf vs 22cf), and is still not a great car for snow.
The Camaro is much cheaper, though if you have the money, I say buy the Corvette. In my oh so humble opinion, the Camaro is for those who want a Corvette, but can’t afford it (or for people strangely obsessed with Bumblebee).

Ok so I went to the Chevy dealership a couple of weeks ago and told me the new camaro would come to their dealership on April 18th or the 20th.(They are closed on Sunday) So I went today and told the sales rep that I am undecided between a Corvette and a Camaro. He quickly responded and said to get the Camaro. I am still pretty undecided but by the sales rep saying that made me lean more towards the Camaro because why would he tell me to get the Camaro when the Corvette is so much more expensive. So do you think he was being honest or is he like the usual sales rep? and also tell me which car I should get from these two and WHY? Thanks in advance
A: I would get the corvette because its faster and has a lot more features, plus it turns major heads. He probably told you to get the Camaro because it is a brand new car and not many people will be driving them when they first come out. Corvettes however, are a lot more common on the road.

A: Both the 2002 corvette and 2000 camaro V8 versions, came equipped with the same engine, a 5.7L LS1. the 2002 corvette would benefit from better tuning, dual exhaust, and a better intake than the 2000 camaro.
You didn’t mention if either/both were stick or automatic? an automatic is easier to drag (from a stop) so if yours is stick and his is an automatic, it might be closer, but you would still pull on the backend.
He should know better- either he’s a dope, or I have a feeling that he might have some modifications that you’re not going to see even if you look at the engine.

A: ZR1 is over $100,000…Which is best bang for your buck compared to the exotic foreign cars of $500,00 – $1,000,000 +.
But for that amount of money you could buy the Camaro and add some serious power adders and completely smoke the ZR1 (in a straight line) The Vette will handle much better.

A: The new Camaro SS has the LS3 V8. The same engine that is in the base corvettes for the last couple of years. You have an LS1. Stock You are pushing 350 Hp. The Camaro SS is pushing close to 425HP. The new Camaro SS is faster. It has a slightly faster 0-60 mph. But the quarter mile is almost a half second faster than yours.Well hope this helps. 1988 corvette.. 0-60 mph 6.0 seconds and 1/4 mile ET 14.6 seconds
1995 camaro Z28.. 0-60 mph 5.7 seconds and 1/4 mile ET 14.2 seconds
So not too much of a diff.. Go to a 3.42 or 3.73 gear, a set of headers and better exhaust, and some good sticky rear tires and you’ll take the camaro easy.
Q: 2010 Camaro 2SS vs 2008 Corvette Coupe?
I have been aiming to get a 2010 Camaro for over a year now, but recently I have also been looking at couple year older Corvettes. A new 2010 Camaro 2SS has a price tag of around $40,000, while the 2008 Corvette I am looking at is about $34,000.
I have done my homework and research, but I am just curious what other people think; which would be a better choice and why?
Also, this seems to be some kind of secret, but does anyone know what the ground clearance on the corvette is? Whether or not I will be frequently bottoming out is another important factor.
A: Thats really a question of personal choice.
You are limited in a Vette as a 2 seater, but if you dont need the extra seats then its not an issue. The vette actually has decent carrying space in the rear.
Car for car, the vette is faster, handles better, and stops better.
Also, not sure if winter is a factor in your decision, but the vette is undriveable in snow since it is so low to the ground.
The other thing is warranty, new car you get full coverage while buying something used you lose out on some of that. That of course depends on how long you are planning on keeping your car.
The vette is almost guaranteed good resale value. The Camaro, since it is new, is an unknown.
Personally I dont like having a 2 seater, but if this car is your second car or you are just buying it as a fun car, I would go with the Vette. As far as muscle cars goes, the Camaro is a little more practical for every day use.

the 2000 camaro zl-1 is the fastest camaro ever built (besides the 1969 camaro zl-1), and the 2009 corvette zr-1 is the fastest corvette ever built, i just would like to see all your opinions of which car is faster and better.
A: Well it’s kind of apples and oranges. The 2000 ZL-1 was a R&D concept car with a 14:1 compression 572. It was basically a drag car built by GM’s specialty vehicle division. I actually saw that car make a pass at Super Chevy Indy and it ran low 10 second 1/4 mile times (10.30 I think). The ZR-1 runs 11.3 second 1/4 mile. The ZL-1 is considerably quicker than the ZR-1 and likely also comparable on the top end, but like I said you are comparing a race prepped R&D car to a production car.

A: The mid 90’s ZR1 is a mid 12 second car with a good driver. The fastest BONE STOCK C5 was 12.6x(I don’t remember the exact time). This was Z51 car, the run was at Atco Raceway in Atco, NJ. Obviously not ever C5 runs those times. Stock for stock the ZR1 will be faster than the other cars listed provided the drivers are of equal skill.
BTW there’s no such thing as a Trans Am Formula Firebird and no such thing as a 98-02 GTA 
One thing to keep in mind, horsepower isn’t everything. You have to factor in weight, aerodynamics, gear ratios etc.

you know (the Yenko Built by Don Yenko) with the 450hp 427 Corvette Inspired Engine while the boss has its 429 which had i believe 375hp obvious the Yenko Camaro Would kill the 69′boss due to the Yenko Camaro Having more Horsepower im more of a Chevy guy anyways i have Camaros the only ford i would ever drive is probably 1967 Shelby GT500 or a New 2007 Shelby GT500 than that the Camaro/Corvette will kill any ford even the Shelby GT500’s 67′ or 2007since the Z28 and or SS Camaro’s are nearly identical to the Corvette in fact the only thing is that GM/Chevy detunes the Camaro so that it is not 100% Corvette if it wasnt for that The Camaro Would be exactly a Corvette base and or Z06 but anyways who would win between a 1969 SYC Yenko Camaro 427 450hp vs a 1969 boss 429 mustang 375hp in a straight drag race?
