Q: Crown Vic vs Impala vs Charger?
What are everyones thoughts about these 3 cars? my personal favorite is the Crown vic
A: Absolutely, Crown Vic all the way! It might not be the fastest, but it’s the only authentic American V8 sedan left out there.
Q: ‘69 dodge charger VS ‘67 impala?
i know it would depend on engine sizes and all, but which do you like more and why?
A: oh wow!!!!!!!!!! hard one!!! they are both awesome, and since its not about the engine but its looks….. uuuuuhhhhhhh……..hhhmmmmmmmmm….. i really like…. man i like both…. impala http://www.bluebonnetstreetrodders.com/john.franceschi%20014.jpg

Q: Domestic vs Import?
OK, I mean overall. Cameros, Corvettes, Novas, Mustangs, Cuda, Charger, Chevelle, Impala, Monte Carlos, Trans Am, Solsice Challenger, Super Bee, Rods, Silverados, Colorados, Rams, Dakotas, F-seires, Rangers, Tahoes, Expedition, Caliber, Jeeps, Pacer, Gremlins.
VS
Supra, WRX, Lancer, 350, Xterra, Ridgeliner, Forester, Tundra, That Nissan Truck, All those other crappy jap cars.
A: All those other crappy “Jap” cars are more reliable, better engineered, cheaper to operate, and in the case of Supras, WRX’s, Lancers, 350Z’s, and S2000’s, faster and better handling than their domestic counterparts.
Well, to be more accurate, in the case of the WRX, Lancer, and 350Z…. there are no counterparts… the Solstice competes a little with the S2000, but the S2000 is 500x the car that the Solstice could ever hope to be.
I prefer imports.
Q: Imports vs Domestics again… why all the misconception about it?
In case most of yall have been living under a rock for the last decade or two ever since the 90’s america has stepped thier game up while imports are still riding the hype from years ago and if no of yall remember imports used to suck and all that imports are better around the corner stuff is B.S. when the last time you raced a honda. Now i will admit that imports do make some nice cars but most of thier performance and gas mileage stems from a Turbo not a natural engine. Now let america throws turbos on everything they woundlt be able to americas exhuast and some well know examples are
Nissan GTR vs Corvette Z06 or Zr1…The corvette spanks that awd car all day in a straight line or a corner
Honda Civic SI vs Mustang GT…The mustang rapes that honda everytime.
Chevy Silver vs Toyota Tundra…The one thing they cant do is make a better truck
Pretty much any import gets beat by a Domestic anyday of the week while still looking better
Domestics:Mustang,Focus,Taurus,F150,250,350,Challenger,Charger,Avenger,Durango,Nitro,Cobalt,impala,avalanche,tahoe,surburban,silverrado,Camaro and many more
Imports:Evo,Raider(Dodge made),civic,accord,s2000,eclispe,tundra,frontier,4runner, and some others
Dont get me wrong I lived in japan and i loved it but when it comes down to it you gotta admit the Domestics are better and safer look up japanese car crashes,
I had to repost the question it was a mistake that it ended up here
A: I totally agree with everything you just said there..
Q: Can my car outrun cop cars?
I dont have any intention of doing this on any street(unlike a lot of racers im track only..) however i want to know which cop cars i would be able to outrun(i actually wanted to go to the police vs racers sanctioned drag races, but it was on the other side of the US..).
i know i can beat a vic caprice intrepid and impala, not too sure about the camaros, or chargers(not sure whats done to these)
and remember i dont intend to do this im just interested on if its possible over say a 1/4 mile and a full track(not a nascar one, not a huge fan of doing lots of circles..)
also the only suspension upgrade on the car is a front tower strut bar

also my car is a 1994 Toyota supra with around 450rwhp, only suspension upgrade is a front tower strut bar
also i know all about helicopters and radio as i said this is meant FOR A TRACK
im talking about handling as well as power.
im not talking about flying down the freeway like some 16 year old.
also thank you skylar for so far posting the most intelligent post..
i have 10 years of track racing experience, im just wondering since the chance id have to try this is extremely slim unless one of my friends decided to make a retired cop car collection and take it to the track
1/4 mile times is low elevens high 10’s best time was 10.5 with a PERFECT start
A: If you’re sure you’re making 450whp, you should be able to outdrag/outrun pretty much any street legal police car I’ve ever heard of in a 1/4mi and beyond. I doubt there are many Police Camaros or Chargers that have that kind of power because they also have police radios… which are much harder to outrun in a high speed chase no matter how fast your car might be etc.
In a road course setting you should also be able to do fairly well against even the fastest police vehicles assuming you’re good at driving that Supra of yours on a road course. Keep in mind that most police officers (especially those driving the faster Camaros, Mustangs and Chargers) are trained pretty extensively at driving in a high speed setting (such as a road course) so you’d really have to know what you were doing to out run one of them no matter how fast your car might be in a road course style race. Excellent drivers can take a slower car and beat someone in a faster car around a track if the guy driving the faster car isn’t as good a driver.
