I have heard many discussions about these trucks and the big motors, but I believe many like me are a little cash strapped right now. I want to know how each of these trucks small V-8’s stack up against each other. I know the numbers, but I want everyone’s opinion. Which small V-8 would you choose as superior and why??? The 4.6 Triton, the 4.8 Vortec, or the 4.7 Magnum. I have my own personal choice, but I would like to know what everyone else thinks.
A: Definatly the Ford. Ford makes the best trucks. Period. There is a reason that the ford f-150 is the best selling automobile in the world (even including cars). I’ve owned a few ford trucks and never had any problems with them. I bought a ram once and got rid of that POS as fast as I could. My friend’s father has a silverado and is always complaining about it.

Ok here’s my deal, time to get a new company truck, thats really just mine and I need to know whats the best, looking for a 4 door short bed 2008 something, and price isn’t really an issue, I have had a lot of fords and now have a 2006 and I love it but I’m a little mad at ford for not changing one singe thing in 3 years on this truck, so whats the best truck for me to get give me the high’s and low’s of each and if possible any review online that has tested them against each other.
one more thing, I will only be towing a small amount and not very heavy, a 3 horse trailer every once in a while is all so mileage is a pretty big deal, mine now gets 14. anyways Thanks for you help everybody
A: i work for a company that has 100 vehicles,mostly chevy, we just bought two crew max tundras, they have lots of power and good gearing, they get 18mpg, i would prefer to spend the extra $3000 for a silverado with the duramax. we do have some fords and they spend more time in the shop than on the road, 6.0 liter diesels are junk

A: it depends on what year your looking at, i do know for a fact though that a dodge will pull a chevy out of a ditch because i did that today ,but really you,ll get good service from a dodge if you maintain it real good,the chevy will go higher mileage with less service,but when it does tear up its going to cost you to repair it,the dodge requires good maintenance to keep it going,that’s the one thing people seem to forget these days is how to maintain one,if it were me given a choice id choose the dodge over the chevy,their also easier to work on these days than they was 5 years ago,good luck.

A: Well Ford is crap. If you want the power go for a Dodge. Reliability goes with Chevy. For parking they are all pretty much the same but to make it easy get standard cab and a 6 foot bed. Interior room defintely goes to the ram mega cab it’s like a minivan with a bed. hope these answers help you.

I am planning on purchasing a vehicle soon. I am planning on buying used, and under 30,000. I am planning on either a lifted 2500 Ram, Silverado or F-150, a BMW 5 or 7 series, or a muscle car such as an srt-8 charger or 300c or more likely a Jeep Grand Cherokee srt-8. Out of all of these the SRT-8 Cherokee has the best speed times, but what type of recomendations can you give me for a car?

im gonna buy a car soon and ive decided im going to ether get a truck (silverado,tacoma,ram,) or a 90s camaro. i want the speed of the z28 but i ride dirt bikes and dont wanna get a trailer. what are your thoughts? has to be under 6,000

A: if you want a truck that you can hall your bikes around in and go just about anywhere with get the Tacoma and if you want somethin thats a little cheaper i’d try the Chevy or a dodge Dakota but make sure its 4 wheel drive so you can take it off road and not have to worry about getting stuck

A: i have driven all three trucks. and haved owned 3 chevs 2 fords, 1 dodge. all brands have thinks u will love. chevy the way they drive and handle, dodge for their styling and toughness and great field of vision. fords for their inovation. i have loved them all. i have driven the new 07 chevys.and waiting for the new ford,dodge trucks

I have a 99 Silverado with 5.3 vortec Stock extended cab, he has a newer like 02 dodge ram extended cab with 4.7 litre v8 only upgrade is flowmaster exhaust so it sounds better. Who would win tug of war? this guy in the dodge is really cocky and i think i could take him if it depends on tires because i have michellin (sp?)ATX and he has like General something road tires on his.

I am going to be buying a new truck soon, and I have two that I am looking at the first is a 2004 Chevy Silverado, short bed 4.3 V6 manual transmission, the other is a 2002 Dodge Ram long bed 3.7 V6 manual transmission, the chevy has 54,000 miles on it, the dodge has 22,000 miles on it, but the 3.7 seems like an awful small engine for a fullsize truck, My dad has a 2001 silverado with the 4.3 V6 and loves it, I do too, but I dont know what to choose, can anyone give me some opinions or facts about the two engines to help me decide what to do?
I want to add that I dont care if you like dodge muscle cars better than chevrolet, I just want to know about the two V6 engines, please keep all other opinions to yourself
A: i personally own a dodge truck
But i would more highly recommend the chevy with the 4.3 my father owns one and ive used it several times and the six in there is a torquey and spunky motor
ive even pulled a trailor with it with no problems with power
heres another interesting fact the F-150 triton is a 4.3 litre V8 that really sucks when it comes to power
i always thought it was interesting that one of fords banner motors is only the size of a chevy six cylinder
anyway chevy 4.3 = kick ass motor
