Q: 1987 GMC Sierra VS 1983 Chevy Silverado?
which one do you think is better? i know the GMC has duel gas tanks and has 16 mpg on streegs, and the silverado has 13. Can anyone tell me which one you think is better?
A: I think you answered your own question. The GMC is the “Cadillac” of Chevy trucks. The GMC has more creature comforts than the Chevy. GMC only produces trucks. I love Chevy trucks. GMC takes a Chevrolet truck and makes them more comfortable. You can get a Chevy with dual tanks also, but for added electrical and trim, go with the GMC if money is not a prob. Peace.

I heard you can put a chip on a truck to make it run fast, i dont know the device but if a GMC or a Chevy would have one which truck would win the race?

A: Both trucks are the same. The only difference is the appearance on the outside. Engine, chassis and everything is the same. The price is actually the same. The only difference is Chevrolet has a lot more advertisement than GMC.

to me they look similar with just different headlights/taillights and slightly different looks.

A: Years ago, they gave the better options and parts to G.M.C. from the factory as standard issue parts. From about 88 on up, there is no difference at all, just a name.
