Q: F-150 vs Ram 1500 in the quarter mile?
2004 F-150 with the 5.4 liter Triton vs a 2008 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 liter Hemi. My friend and I are going to race them at the local drag strip in a few days, but we are curious what other people think. Which truck would be faster in the quarter mile (assuming both trucks are driven the same; we are talking trucks, not the way we drive them)
A: Is it a Heritage F-150 or a F-150?
Not that it matters, but I think the Heritage F-150 might be lighter. I’ve never seen a 2004 Heritage F-150 with anything but a 4.2 or 4.6 but there might be a 5.4 out there.
5.4 Triton is 300hp. 5.7 Hemi is 345hp On paper the Dodge has the advantage.

A: The F-150. It has been around for over 50 years, so Ford has worked out every kink and has made all the improvements and advancements the public wanted.

I have heard many discussions about these trucks and the big motors, but I believe many like me are a little cash strapped right now. I want to know how each of these trucks small V-8’s stack up against each other. I know the numbers, but I want everyone’s opinion. Which small V-8 would you choose as superior and why??? The 4.6 Triton, the 4.8 Vortec, or the 4.7 Magnum. I have my own personal choice, but I would like to know what everyone else thinks.
A: Definatly the Ford. Ford makes the best trucks. Period. There is a reason that the ford f-150 is the best selling automobile in the world (even including cars). I’ve owned a few ford trucks and never had any problems with them. I bought a ram once and got rid of that POS as fast as I could. My friend’s father has a silverado and is always complaining about it.

Both of them are very ugly IMO, but the new features, new interior and new engines in the new Ram sound good.

A: I think they both look emasculated. It looks like they are trying to buck the “tough truck” look and go for something more tame that has a wider appeal. New designs can grow on you though so I’ll try not to be too judgmental. It always helps to see it in person.
Q: Luxury, vs. Muscle vs. Lifted truck?
I am planning on purchasing a vehicle soon. I am planning on buying used, and under 30,000. I am planning on either a lifted 2500 Ram, Silverado or F-150, a BMW 5 or 7 series, or a muscle car such as an srt-8 charger or 300c or more likely a Jeep Grand Cherokee srt-8. Out of all of these the SRT-8 Cherokee has the best speed times, but what type of recomendations can you give me for a car?

the only SUV i would consider is the srt-8 cherokee. I do like the 300, but i would like something big or fast or a combination of both.

After looking at Qosmios, Sony F series, XPS Studios, Sagers, Asus, Samsung, MSI, I couldn’t find a good gaming laptop that had blu-ray or that didn’t jack up the price. So I need help over these few debating items. I am trying to keep it at 1,500-1,750. I know Alienware is expensive and I planned for it I just need to know if there is a huge difference between each of these and is it beneficial to get them for the cost difference. I am also taking this to college so battery life and staying up to date with the latest tech standards is important.
RAM: 6 GB vs 8GB ($150 difference)
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5730 vs 5850 ($100)
Hard Drive: 320 GB vs 500 GB ($50)
Battery: 6 cell vs 9 cell ($100)
I currently have 6 GB of RAM, HD 5850, 320 GB, 6 Cell and it is $1,750.
A: I think it sounds good – maybe upgrade the graphics card…. Honestly is it really worth it to play a damn game?

A: F-150 would probably win. Ram’s got a bigger engine, but is also RWD, and considering it has minimal weight back there, that’s not a good thing. Might be mistaken, though.
