Q: FORD MUSTANG VS DODGE CHALLENGER VS CHEVY CAMARO > YOUR OPINION?
All 3 cars are in a competitive field right now, let me hear your opinion on your choice of the three with some why’s and why not’s. no wrong answer!

A: i am assuming you mean the brand new models.
best looking: the dodge challenger. mustang, to me the tail-lamps aren’t quite right.but this makes it a very close second.
most reliable: mustang. the drive-trains are proven solid. i suspect there may be a few electrical problems with the dodge but hope i am wrong. given g.m.’s history[[just the past 20 yrs. or so] introductory models always are of poor quality. they get better every year until sales fall off and they kill the model just as they get it right..
notables of this were the last generation camero/firebird, pontiac ferio, the cadillac allante,.and the current generation of corvette.
while i was never much of a ford fan growing up. the last 17 years or so have totally changed my mind about the company and their products in a very positive way.. dodge has some very nice products mixed with some bland to poor ones but the challenger is more than worthwhile.and much more is expected from chysler even in these tumultuous times.
over at g.m., the new camero doesn’t look like much so not much is expected. .[opinion] new camero equals old amc javelin. so please just make it go away, a fast crap-box is still a crap-box.

Q: Camaro vs. Mustang vs. Challenger: Rate these v8 and v6 models?
I want you to say what is better in these categories in the v6 and v8 models.

V6:
Performance:
Interior:
Exterior:
Features:
Rims:
Price:

V8:
Performance:
Interior:
Exterior:
Features:
Price:

A: Below 400 horsepower, the best value among the choices (Camaro/Mustang/Challenger) is the Mustang; above 400 horsepower, it’s the Camaro. If you’re in the market for a Shelby GT500, get a Corvette, instead.

In terms of visual appeal, the Camaro kick sass; however, the Challenger is good bit larger without appearing so: it gets honorable mention. Visually, the Mustang just doesn’t have anything to offer, but its interior is somewhat more luxurious.

Usually, nobody wants to be reminded that “performance” is a word having lots of different meanings. For instance, popularity is itself an index of performance — as is resale value. Even relatively meaningless categories like “number of available options” or “number of standard features” can be regarded as indices of performance.

Popular performance indexes also include, in this case:

-> fuel economy (“test loop,” “observed,” EPA city/highway/combined, etc.);

-> standing-start acceleration (to various target speeds — 60 mph is the most common target speed, followed in popularity by 100 km/h; fixed-distance — to 1320 feet is the most popular, but 60 feet and 660 feet are popular distances as well);

-> acceleration between speeds(regarded as a tool to aid in the evaluation of vehicle-passing or “overtaking” capability, “from 40 mph to 60 mph” is a popular index, as is “from 50 mph to 70 mph”);

-> deceleration between speeds (most commonly from 70 mph to 0 mph, but from 100 mph is also popular);

-> slalom speed (unfortunately, slaloms are often as different as race tracks);

-> lateral acceleration (ordinarily measured on a flat skidpad having a fixed nominal diameter; clockwise and counter-clockwise numbers can be different; sometimes, only an average is reported);

-> towing capacity (generally, the manufacturer’s rating);

-> top speed

-> etc. Pretty much, if you can think of a way to measure it, someone has done that and has made it into a performance index.

Similarly, “interior” and “exterior” are virtually meaningless terms: what aspect of either is important to you? Is interior volume the governing metric, or is front-seat leg-room, or is rear-seat leg-room, or is rear-seat hip room ….

In any of the seating positions, dozens of potential measurements abound. Similarly, what is meant by “exterior” is unclear: is it meant to solicit an opinion regarding the subjective overall aesthetic impression, or is it limited to visual cues or to audible cues, etc.?

Q: Chevy Camaro vs Ford Mustang vs Dodge Challenger?
Which of the three is better? I’m looking to spend around $35,000, which gives me the most for my money?

A: Well it depends what you’re looking for; a boulevard and highway cruiser (Challenger R/T), a drag strip terror (Camaro SS), or somewhere in the middle (Mustang GT).
The Challenger has the softest ride of the three, perfect for cruising and has great appeal due to its dead on retro styling. It is also the slowest due to a heavy curb weight of about 4000 lbs. However the 5.7 HEMI sounds amazing.
It you care about pure performance than the Camaro is it; fastest through the 1/4 mile at 13.0.
The Mustang is between the two in regards to comfort and performance. You should be aware that next year Ford is bringing back the 5.0 to replace the tired 4.6 to better combat the Camaro’s 6.2 LS3 (manual) or L99 (auto) engines

Q: Hyundai Genesis coupe vs Ford Mustang coupe vs dodge challenger?
all with v6 and with nav and leather seats.

A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.yoll.net

Q: CHEVROLET CAMARO VS DODGE CHALLENGER/CHARGER VS MUSTANG SEHBLY 2009?
(i know challenger & charger are not the same)
Which should i get?

A: MUSTANG!!!! =]

Cuz when i see a guy driving a mustang, i think its sexy =]

Q: camaro ss vs mustang gt vs challenger srt8?
who wins?

A: Well, some people think that the Mustang is the overall best choice as seen here

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/comparisons/09q3/2010_chevy_camaro_ss_vs._2010_ford_mustang_gt_2009_dodge_challenger_r_t-comparison_tests

The Challenger is a pig, and it’s barely equal to Mustang in straight liner performance. The Camaro is also heavy, but it’s the fastest in a straight line. The Mustang is outgunned in the power department (next year will be a different story though) but it’s much lighter than the other two so it’s not that much slower, it also murders the other two on the skidpad and despite having a solid axle out back, out handles both of them. It’s also the cheapest of the three.

Basically, the Camaro is the fastest, the Mustang handles the best and is cheapest, and the Challenger needs to lose 300 pounds to be competitive.

Q: Challenger vs. Mustang?!??!?
I do not want opinons!
i want hard facts, which car would win in a race and which car is the better buy?
The 2009 Dodge challenger V6 with a 3.5 liter and an output of 250 Engine HP and 250 Engine Torque.
or
The 2009 Ford Mustang V6 with a 4.0 liter and an output of 210 Engine Hp and 240 Engine Torque.

Mind you the challenger ways in at 3720 lbs and the mustang at 3345 lbs.

Thanks for your help!

A: Challenger 250hp 250tq 0-60 7.8 1/4 16.0 17mpg c 25mpg hw mustang 210hp 240tw 0-60 6.7 1/4 15.0 16mpg city 26mpg hw so the mustang is a bit faster hope that helps.

Q: camaro LS vs challenger SE vs mustang v6?
These are all the base models from the big 3. The sporty coupes are similar in price but which one is the best bang for you buck (including the cost of the car & it’s fuel economy or lack thereof).

A: No doubt – the Mustang. It’s less powerful than the other two, but has way better handling, better styling, better reliability, and an awesome interior with customization. Also, if you want to upgrade it, Ford and Saleen both offer performance and style packages straight from the factory.

Also consider the Hyundai Genesis Coupe V-6, which has the handling of the Mustang and the power of the Camaro for about the same price, but lacks the style of either. That, and you wouldn’t be buying American.

I hope this has answered your question. If you have any more, please feel free to ask.

Q: 2010 Camaro vs. 2010 Challenger vs. 2010 Mustang?
Can someone with some solid facts (and experience with sports car performance) please tell me why anyone would take the Mustang or Challenger over the Camaro? I genuinely want to know, because so far, I’ve discovered the following things:

#1: Among the base models, which are all similarly priced, the Camaro is by far the fastest of the three, and gets better mpg.

#2 In a competition between the Camaro SS, Mustang GT, and Challenger SRT-8, the Camaro yet again wipes the floor with the competition. (I realize that the GT 500 would beat the SS, but the GT 500 should compared to the Z28, which will not be produced for at least another year. And I also realize that the SRT-8 is the same class as the Z28 and GT 500, but I included it because it is outperformed by the supposedly lesser models from the other two, which I interpret as a shortcoming of the Challenger)

Given this, I am wondering why, apart from a personal looks preference (I think the Camaro looks far better than the other two, but realize others may disagree), anyone would not want the Camaro, which aside from being the top performer, is also the least expensive of the three models. I’m sure I’m missing something, I genuinely want to know what it is.

A: People buy Mustangs because they are cheap, and a little faster than a Hyundai Accent.

People will buy the Challenger due to the cosmetics and for a few, nostalgia.

The Camaro will be a better car over all performance wise.

Personally, I’ve broken away from American RWD “muscle” cars.

Q: Challenger vs. Camaro vs. Mustang which would you get?????????????????????
I personly like the dodge challenger. How about you?

A: Challenger looks great but, doesn’t corner well and is very heavy. Give it a year or two and don’t settle for the V-6. Camaro is very powerful but, again very heavy and it takes a bit out of overall performance. I bought an ‘06 GT Mustang and have been satisfied. Next year an Eco-boost V-6 will be offered w/ more than 300 horses. The GT will be bumped up accordingly. Bottom line: I would enjoy all three but, get the hottest version you can afford-”right out of the box”. Consumer reports of the three can be found on-line and in decent video. Check it out.

Q: Battle of the Base Model Giants. Mustang V6 vs Camaro V6 vs Challenger V6?
The internet is amass with V8 queries into what muscle car is the best and what is to be the best when the new 2011 Mustang debuts with the new V8 5.0.

My question is what is the best basic model ( Mini Muscle ) car would be? The 2011 Mustang with the new 3.7L V6 good for over 300hp – the 2011 Camaro with the continuing 3.6L 304hp V6 – or the 2011 Challenger with the continuing 3.5L 250hp V6.

Of course, these are the sales leaders and I am curious how many people will respond to the question about the base model of their pulse pounding vehicles.

Magazines say that the Challenger is the old school cruiser, with old school handeling and looks. – The Camaro is a scorcher V6 and fun to drive hard but has so so interior quality – and the 2010 Mustang was the sleeper with the antique 200hp V6, but with the new 300+ hp V6 I believe the Mustang is the new game changer for the V6 Mills.

What you think?
Tannor – You will be very happy to hear that I own a 2004 Ford Mustang Convertible with the V6. Despite what every else was telling me, I put a chrome ” V 6 ” Badge on the flank and am keeping a single pipe on the car. I love Mustangs but can’t afford the insurance on the V8. If you don’t pose like a V8, you don’t get laughed at :)

B.T.W. Not planning on buying one, I was just curious what everybody thought. Glad Mustang is ahead with the first 2 answers going for the pony.

A: If you are looking for one I would recommend the V6 mustang or Camaro. Mustang if you plan on upgrading engine parts in the future, or camaro or mustang stock. I would never take the challenger because it lacks performance to the extreme. You are better off with the V6 mustang overall though because the camaro and challenger are supposed to have big burley V8’s, so if you show up with a V6 you look like a poser. With the mustang it wont matter because the 2011 V6 is putting out numbers close to that of the 2010 V8. Save yourself embarrassment and go with the mustang. Personally I am a camaro guy, but not the V6, dont be a poser. I like the mustang for its V6, hope I helped.

Q: 2010 challenger vs. 2010 camero vs 2010 mustang?
which one do you think is better and why

A: Despite it’s power deficit the Mustang was judged the better car by C&D as seen here.

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/comparisons/09q3/2010_chevy_camaro_ss_vs._2010_ford_mustang_gt_2009_dodge_challenger_r_t-comparison_tests

And when you compare the current 2011 model. It’s not even a contest, the Mustang’s new 5.0L V8 keeps up with Camaro, and smokes the Challenger, it also outhandles them, outbrakes them, and gets better fuel mileage. For the current V6 models, the Mustang does literally everything better than the Camaro and Challenger. However the 2010 Mustang V6 is nowhere near as good as the Camaro V6.

Q: Dodge challenger vs Chevy Camaro vs Ford Mustang in Snow?
which of these 3 cars, low base model (v6 engine) would do best in snow with snow tires? i live in eastern ontario/canada so it will be snowing soon and for 2 months. I want to get one of these 3 cars, and it will be my daily driving car!

I did some minimal research and found out that the Cadillac CTS 2010 has more torque than the base model camaro V6 and it is also RWD. I also know alot of people who drive their CTS in the winter.

Advice and suggestions are appreciated!

A: The Camaro imo would do the best. It has traction control & a stability control program to help out there. I live in Chicago & I used to have a full sized Dodge truck with a diesel engine. It made way more torque than those cars ever will. But when it snowed it did well. It did have a lot of weight to it despite being a 2wd. Anyway, I watched the weather & ventured out when it was necessary. I did all important errands well in advance so I would reduce the risk of any accidents. The CTS would be a good choice as well b/c it has those 2 programs. I just bought a new Malibu LTZ w/ the same 3.6L used in the CTS. Even though it’s fwd & makes fewer hp’s, it still a blast to drive & far more affordable than the CTS. G’day!

Q: 09 dodge Challenger SE-G vs. 09 Mustang coupe premium V6 ?
i’m really looking into both of these cars right now. leaning slightly towards the Challenger.

any opinions on either car?

A: Depends on what you’re into. If you want a car you don’t tweak with, then the Challenger. If you want a project car that you can mod to be your own, go with the Mustang.

Q: which is better to get, and which is the better overrall, chevy camaro, ford mustang, or dodge challenge?
camaro vs mustang vs challenger
the 2010 model

A: Interesting question. I think that you are going to get a lot of biased answers on this one. Personally I prefer the new Camaro preferably in Z28 or SS trim. These are all excellent choices and a matter of personal preference. They are all classic American muscle cars with plenty of available power depending on which model you choose (Z28 SS, GT or the Challenger in SRT) they all enjoy huge followings. If you want to research specs further and professional reviews I have attached a link that should help you out.
