Q: ford f-150 vs ford ranger vs toyota tacoma vs nissan frontier?
im looking for something cheap that gets decent mileage, and reliability, i own a 89 ford mustang, over 250k miles, still works good, so i rely on that info about ford. which ones the best?

A: I owned a ford f150 and loved it. It ran forever without any problems. The only thing I needed to replace was the tranny at 128,000 miles, other then that, I did not have any abnormal repairs. So I am a fan of the F150 from personal experiance and it gets very good reliability and repair history ratings from consumer reports and jd power. The Toyota Tacoma is also a awesome truck as far as reliability and repair history. To be honest with you, even though I am a huge Ford fan and Ford is my favorite car maker, if I could have any truck for free I would take the Toyota. I feel though, that the F150 is the best buy for the money and if I had to buy a truck with my hard earned money, I would buy the F150.

Q: Toyota Tacoma vs. Nissan Frontier: Your Opinion?
I own Toyotas and Nissans in the past and currently. Very reliable vehicles and I drive them to the end of their life. I have been look at to small trucks for awhile. The New Tacoma and Frontier: crew cab, short bed. Both are really nice trucks and very similar with 4.0L V6. It’s hard to decided.

Tacoma Pros: Nice seats and Interior, More leg room, Toyota Quality
Cons: Hard to read gauges, Plastic front bumper, Oil filter location

Frontier Pros: Bose system, Nice dash layout, Chrome bumper,
Cons: Less leg room, Flat body line, Rubbery center console.

I’m perfectly happy to own either trucks. Both are priced similar and I don’t care much for resale value. Plan to get 4-doors and install leveling kit with larger wheels and tires. What is your opinion on these two trucks?

Reason for other trucks: Chevy Colorado: No V6, Ford Ranger: No Crew Cab, and Dodge Dakota: Not a dodge fan (sorry)

A: I don’t think you can go wrong with either, personally, but as I read your question, I get the impression that you are leaning toward the Tacoma.

If the best things you can say about the Frontier are the ‘Nice Dash layout, Bose System and Chrome bumper’, then the Tacoma is your truck.

im trying to decide between a 2006 TRD, 2006 nismo and an 05 rubicon. The truck would my everyday driver and weekend offroading toy. I kno the rubicon is the best offroad but i dont think it would be great for a everyday driver, soo how capable are the trd and nismo offroad compared to the rubicon. and which would be best overall

A: I have an 06 Tacoma TRD 4×4 off road, I like it very much. Only
off road couple of times. It is the best of the bunch.
Best power, mpg and tops in resale. Only one problem with
mine, paint chipping, especially on the rear in front of rear tires.
That said I would buy another, a great everyday driver.

Thinking about buying a 2004 Toyota Tacoma? Anyone own a Nissan Frontier or have experience with them. I really like the Tacoma, but the Frontier is a lot less expensive. Any thoughts?

A: It all depends on what you want it for. I have a frontier and love it. What i do know is usually toyota packs in more horse power. For example my nissan is a 3.3 im pretty sure the toyota is going to be a 3.5 atleast.(now don’t quote me on this but thats how it was for older ones the nissans 4cyl had a 2.4 and toyotas had a 2.7.
Nissans are really reliable.

I have $12,000 to spend on a truck. I cannot decide, what to get. Im leaning toward the Frontier. So a 1999 F150 4×4 (10K) or a 2001 Nissian Frontier Crew Cab 4×4 (12K)or save longer and get the Toyota Double Cab Tacoma ($16,000K about). Im leaning towards the Nissian which has 66K miles and is a 2001 automatic, dealer wants 12K for it. Any one else thing thats an good idea?
About the Tacomas, They all have over 110K miles on them and they are all +16K or more. Dealer are charging a massive premium on the trucks. The Frontier is still a good truck right? Just not as good as the Toyota?

A: TOYOTA, hands down! They are well-made, quality vehicles; it’s worth the extra money.
Nissan is OK, but not as good as Toyota.
DON’T buy the Ford. Ford is absolute crap; It will literally fall apart on you. I’d rather ride the bus than drive a Ford!

Q: 07 Frontier vs 07 Tacoma?
Hello everyone, i need help. i’m about to buy my first truck and can’t decide whether to buy an 07 Frontier or an 07 tacoma. both are in very good condition w/ low miles. i would mostly be using it for commuting and hauling stuff occasionally. please, only people that have owned an 07 frontier or tacoma respond.

A: They are both fine. The Tacoma scores much better in reliability ratings so choose it if all else is equal. The price of a brand new Chevy Colorado has dropped under $10,000 so that might be worth checking out..

Q: Nissan Frontier vs Toyota Tacoma vs Ford F-150?
It’s my senior year and I need a truck for when I go to school in the Fall. I need to do some highway driving and I want something big and sturdy. It’s not that far away but again, I do need to get on the highway so I want something safe.
I like all of these trucks but I want honest opinions. Which is the best out of all of these?
I know it’s a hefty price for these and if I get it, I will get it new, but I want to keep it for a while. So it’s worth it.

A: Tacoma without a doubt is much better. Toyotas last much longer than nissans and parts are not as expensive.
