Q: What is the towing capacity of a Toyota Tacoma vs. a Tundra?
I am looking to buy a used one, probably a 1999 or 2000 model.

A: First off….Toyota didnt start making the Tundra until 2000 Model year.

Not sure how much different they are but here are towing specs for 2006 models:
3500 lbs for the tacoma….and you can go all the way up to 6500 lbs with the appropriate tow hitches that toyota offers.

for the tundra, the max payload is 7100lbs for reg cab; 6900 for access cab; and 6500 for double cab.

tundra have more horsepower and torque more then tacoma.
toyota is little wider mean better traction
they say toyota have high value and quality but i really don’t need that big of a truck and i don’t see why not get the nissan because i really like speed for less pressure on the engine . i know nissan have sencors problems on car but not sure on by truck engines are they made special they both have 4.0 litter
